BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 3. The volume of gold bars produced at Mouteh Gold Complex located in Iran's Isfahan Province increased by 7.5 percent during the nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through December 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through December 21, 2023), Trend reports via the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
A total of 201 kilograms of gold bars were produced at Mouteh Gold Complex for nine months. Meanwhile, during the same period last year, the figure totaled 187 kilograms.
Gold bullion production at Mouteh Gold Complex for the ninth month (from November 21 through December 2024) equaled 22 kilograms of gold bars. During the ninth month, gold bullion production increased by 10 percent compared to the same month last year (from November 22 through December 21, 2023). The complex produced 20 kilograms of gold bars during the same month last year.
Furthermore, the Mouteh Gold Complex houses a gold processing plant along with the gold mines. This plant processes the gold into bars. The gold bars produced by the complex are sold by the Iranian mining and extraction company.
The Mouteh Gold Mine is located in the village of Mouteh, in the heart of Mimeh District, Isfahan Province. The mine was established in 1993 and can produce up to 300 tons of pure gold per year.
