BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The volume of foreign investments in the Anzali Free Commercial Zone of Iran's Gilan province from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2024) to date has doubled year on year, reaching $28.6 million, spokesperson for the zone, Mehdi Kazemian told reporters, Trend reports.
He said that the Anzali zone received 162 trillion rials (about $278 million) of local investments, and was granted 2,435 licenses during the reporting period.
Meanwhile, products worth $24.1 million have been exported from the Anzali Free Trade Zone, the official explained.
At the same time, goods worth $850 million have been imported into the country through this zone, Kazemian added.
To note, the Anzali Free Commercial Zone has two industrial parks operating 164 enterprises.
