Turkey and Kazakhstan agreed to create a joint customs committee with the aim to deepen relations between the countries, Turkey’s Ministry of Trade told Trend.
The creation of this committee will provide the opportunity for acceleration, improvement and simplification of customs procedures.
The committee members will be appointed by Turkey and Kazakhstan. Herein, in case of changes in the composition, the parties will have to inform each other.
As reported, the committee shall facilitate increase of trade between Turkey and Kazakhstan.
Turkey’s trade with Kazakhstan increased by $43.5 million in November 2019 compared to the same month of 2018 and amounted to $214.9 million.
Turkey’s export to Kazakhstan amounted to $71.5 million, and import from Kazakhstan to $143.4 million.
Trade between Turkey and Kazakhstan increased by $68 million from January through November 2019 compared to the same period of 2018, exceeding $2 billion.
During this period, Turkey’s export to Kazakhstan amounted to $749.9 million, and import from Kazakhstan to $1.3 billion.
Turkey’s foreign trade in November 2019 amounted to $33.2 billion.
In November 2019, export of Turkey increased by 0.1 percent compared to November 2019, amounting to 15.5 billion.
Import to Turkey increased by 9.7 percent in November 2019 compared to the same month of 2018, reaching $17.7 billion.
