BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. At the ongoing trial of Armenian citizens at the Baku Military Court, the verdict for the accused is being announced, Trend reports.
The court has sentenced the defendant, Davit Ishkhanyan, to a final penalty of life imprisonment.
The state prosecutors had also requested a life sentence for the defendant.
The trial continues with the reading of the verdicts for Armenian citizens accused of crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes resulting from military aggression. The charges include the preparation and conduct of an aggressive war, genocide, violation of the laws and customs of war, as well as terrorism, financing of terrorism, and the forcible seizure or retention of power, among numerous other offenses.
