BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 16. Azerbaijan's pharmaceutical exports hit the ground running, raking in $2.411 million from January through August 2024.
Data gathered by Trend from the country’s State Customs Committee reveals that this figure has taken a nosedive, dropping 83.06 percent compared to the same stretch last year.
Azerbaijan imported 14,706 tons of pharmaceutical products (27.31 percent reduction) worth $351.7 million (12.38 percent decline) in the reporting period of 2024.
To note, when it comes to the numbers game, pharmaceutical products made up a mere 2.76 percent of Azerbaijan's total imports, while their exports barely made a blip on the radar at just 0.01 percent of total exports.
