Kazakhstan Railways reports grain transport volumes for September

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 1. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC (KTZ, Kazakhstan Railways, national company) transported 1.1 million tons of grain in September, Trend reports.

According to the data by Kazakhstan Railways, 867,000 tons of the transported volume were sent for export. The main export destinations included Central Asian countries, receiving about 457,000 tons, followed by China with 187 thousand tons and Iran with 187,000 tons.

KTZ is actively collaborating with participants in the grain market to optimize the transportation of the new harvest. In September, company representatives held meetings in grain-producing regions to discuss logistics and coordination. More than 100 farmers, traders, and elevator owners participated in these discussions.

For October, KTZ has planned the transportation of grain shipments totaling 1.3 million tons, continuing its support for stable export supplies.

It is noteworthy that from January to September of this year, KTZ transported 6.6 million tons of grain, with 5 million tons allocated for export.
