BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 11. The Gobu modular-type power plant in Azerbaijan has produced 6.3 billion kWh of electricity as of February 1, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy shows that the plant has a total capacity of 385 MW, consisting of 21 gas piston aggregates, each with a power of 18.32 MW.
To note, the plant swung open its doors in the Gobu settlement of the Absheron district on February 11, 2022.
In 2024, nearly 26.7 billion kWh of power were produced in Azerbaijan, an 8.7 percent decrease from the year before. In 2024, the total value of goods and services generated in the nation's gas, steam, and electricity production, distribution, and supply industries came to 1.32 billion manat ($780 million).
