BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. The volume of business loans issued by Azerbaijani banks to the industrial and production sector totaled 1.5 billion manat ($882.3 million) as of January 1, 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's central bank shows that this reflects an increase of 17.5 million manat ($10.2 million), or 1.1 percent, compared to the previous month, and annual growth of 346.8 million manat ($203.9 million), or 29.2 percent.
Meanwhile, the volume of loans extended by non-bank organizations to the industrial and manufacturing sectors amounted to 743 million manat ($437 million) as of January 1, 2025.
This shows a monthly increase of 4.2 million manat ($2.4 million), or 0.6 percent, and an annual surge of 720.1 million manat ($423.5 million), or 32.6 times higher.
