BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. The volume of goods produced and services rendered in the industrial sector in Azerbaijan's Baku from January through February 2025 amounted to 8.7 billion manat ($5.1 billion).
Data obtained by Trend from the Baku City Statistics Department indicates that this figure represents an increase of 200 million manat ($117.6 million), or 2.3 percent, compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, 73.5 percent of industrial products were produced in the mining sector, 22.9 percent in manufacturing, 3.1 percent in electricity, gas, and steam production and distribution, and 0.5 percent in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling sectors.
The share of the non-state sector in industrial production was 79.1 percent. Of the total industrial output, industrial products made up 89.8 percent, while industrial services accounted for 10.2 percent.
A significant portion of the produced goods were sent to consumers. Taking into account previously accumulated stock, as of March 1, 2025, industrial enterprises had a total of 575.3 million manat ($338.4 million) worth of finished goods in their warehouses.
Additionally, there were 44.3 million manat ($26 million) worth of other products purchased from other companies and intended for sale.
