ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 9. Kazakhstan demonstrated positive dynamics in the transportation of goods via main pipelines at the beginning of 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Interstate Statistical Committee of the
CIS shows that from January through February 2025, Kazakhstan
increased the volume of cargo transportation to 56.1 million tons,
which is 18.7 percent higher compared to the same period in 2024.
This growth was a result of stable expansion in the energy and
industrial sectors of the country.
Moreover, in terms of cargo turnover, Kazakhstan also showed
positive results, reaching 27.7 billion ton-kilometers. This is
13.1 percent more than from January through February 2024,
indicating an increase in the efficiency of transportation work and
the distances over which the transportation occurred.
The data confirm that Kazakhstan continues to strengthen its role
in the transportation of energy carriers and other goods via main
pipelines, which is important for its economic stability and
integration into international markets.
