ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 21. The Pavlodar petrochemical plant, a subsidiary of KazMunayGas, will undergo planned preventive maintenance (PPM) between June 18 and July 17, 2025, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
"As part of the PPM, mandatory technical inspections and expertise will be conducted for equipment operating under pressure, including over 110 units, as well as for more than 930 units of technological pipelines. The PPM will be carried out according to the schedule approved for 2025 by the Ministry of Energy," said KazMunayGas.
Over 1,100 people and 107 units of special equipment from contracting organizations will be involved in the repair, the company noted. Currently, the refinery is carrying out preparatory activities for the maintenance according to the schedule.
"To maintain stability in the domestic fuel market and ensure the delivery of petroleum products during the PPM, the Pavlodar Oil Refinery plans to accumulate the following stock of finished products: 50,000 tons of gasoline, 25,000 tons of diesel fuel, and 7,000 tons of aviation kerosene, and then evenly distribute the products to the domestic market according to the supply schedule set by the Ministry of Energy," said KazMunayGas.
Among the most significant undertakings during the maintenance
phase are the comprehensive refurbishment of the centrifugal
compressor turbine CK-201 at the primary oil refining gas
compressor station and the catalyst replacement at the kerosene
hydrofinishing unit.
Concurrently, the Atyrau and Shymkent oil refineries will maintain
optimal throughput, as underscored by KazMunayGas.
