BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 28. The mortgage loan portfolio of banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 4.39 billion manat ($2.58 billion) by the end of April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), indicates
that this denotes an augmentation of 58 million manat ($34.1
million), equating to a 1.3 percent escalation relative to the
conclusion of the preceding month. As of the conclusion of March,
the mortgage loan portfolio was quantified at 4.33 billion manat,
equivalent to $2.54 billion.
Furthermore, as of the conclusion of the preceding month, the
aggregate loan portfolio of financial institutions reached an
excess of 28 billion manat (equivalent to $16.4 billion), with a
substantial 53.2 percent (14.9 billion manat or $8.7 billion)
earmarked for commercial financing, 31.1 percent (8.74 billion
manat or $5.1 billion) directed towards consumer credit, and 15.7
percent (4.39 billion manat or $2.5 billion) allocated for
residential mortgage financing.
