BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Azerbaijan exported 2.31 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye from January through March 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the revenue generated from these exports totaled $653.1 million.
Meanwhile, the country's volume of gas supplied to Türkiye increased by 47 million cubic meters or 2.1% in volume compared to the same period last year, but the income from these exports declined by 8.7 percent, or $62.1 million.
In comparison, during the first quarter of last year, Azerbaijan exported 2.26 billion cubic meters of gas to Türkiye but earned $715.2 million.
Azerbaijan’s total natural gas exports reached 5.9 billion cubic meters, valued at $2.2 billion, during the same period this year. The country also imported 145.6 million cubic meters of natural gas worth $22.4 million, primarily from Russia and Turkmenistan.
Throughout the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported natural gas not only to Türkiye but also to Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece.
