BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. The Iran Energy Exchange (IRENEX) has recorded total sales worth 2.34 quadrillion rials (about $4.04 billion) since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2025) to October 18.
Data obtained by Trend from the IRENEX indicates that during this period, the domestic section of the exchange sold 5.22 million tons of hydrocarbon products valued at 1.7 quadrillion rials (about $2.93 million).
Domestic sales accounted for 500 trillion rials (about $865 million) for 1.48 million tons, while international transactions totaled about 1.2 quadrillion rials (about $2.07 billion).
Additionally, the exchange recorded sales of 68.4 million megawatt-hours of electricity valued at 445 trillion rials (about $771 million) and other products worth 195 trillion rials (about $337 million).
IRENEX plays a crucial role in supplying domestic companies with essential hydrocarbon products while also supporting Iran’s export capacity.
