Azerbaijani insurance company Alfa Sığorta OJSC plans to change its name by the middle of this year, according to the head of the board of directors, Elshad Aliyev.
In October 2012, Texnikabank's founder changed its name to Bank Technique JSC. The name change was due to the revision of its bank branding policy.
According to Aliyev, the new name hasn't been selected yet, but it will not necessarily match the name of the founder, that is, the company will not be called Technique Insurance.
"We plan to follow the example of the founder and also re-brand the insurance company. The management will try to consider what company presented previously, and introduce something new, which in principle will reflect the essence of the company's future," Aliyev said earlier.
Being established in 1997, Alfa Sığorta is a subsidiary of Bank Technique and one of the oldest companies in the insurance sector in Azerbaijan.
