ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, April 9. The Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning Factory has produced goods worth 20.8 million Turkmen manat ($5.9 million) in the first quarter of this year, fulfilling its plan by 155 percent, Trend reports.
During this period, the factory produced 605,200 tons of cotton yarn. The production growth compared to the same period last year amounted to 114.6 percent.
Currently, the enterprise mainly manufactures 34-type cotton yarn following consumer orders.
The Turkmenabat Cotton Spinning Factory, one of the largest in Turkmenistan, plays a crucial role in the country’s textile industry. The factory’s growth reflects the country’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy, particularly in non-oil sectors such as textiles and manufacturing.
