BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. The Bulgarian government will promote possible activities of Bulgarian companies interested in the production of export-oriented products with high value-added in the Alat Free Economic Zone (FEZ) in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

According to the information, such a point is reflected in the protocol signed on July 1 in Baku on the results of the 6th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria on Economic Cooperation.

Azerbaijan and Bulgaria also agreed to exchange information on opportunities to stimulate investments following national legislation. In particular, the Bulgarian side will provide Azerbaijani colleagues with information on measures under the "Law on Stimulation of Investments" in Bulgaria.

Azerbaijan, in turn, will provide Bulgaria with comprehensive information on the investment climate and incentive measures in industrial zones and agrarian parks operating in Azerbaijan.

The technological sector and the sphere of innovations are also considered promising areas of investment.

"The parties agreed to promote the export of products that can be produced in the industrial zones of both states to the markets of Bulgaria and Azerbaijan," the protocol noted.
