In May 2018, the number of requests from Azerbaijani government agencies related to computer security decreased by 0.4 percent compared to April and amounted to 235, the Computer Security Emergency Response Team (CERT) under the Special Communication and Information Security State Agency of Special State Protection Service of Azerbaijan told Trend June 4.
In May, 90.2 percent of the total number of requests received by CERT were reviewed and dealt with. On the basis of the audit of information security, five reports were prepared by CERT and sent to the relevant structures.
According to CERT, five domains and one sub-domain were registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the internet last month.
The total number of requests related to computer security amounted to 1,175 at the end of January-May 2018, which is more than the same indicator last year by 58.5 percent. In January-May of this year, 89.2 percent of the total number of requests were considered and dealt with. During this period, 83 reports were prepared and sent to the relevant structures on the basis of the completed audit of the information security.
In January-May, 14 domains and 10 sub-domains were registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the internet, which are usually used by organizations to create unique site names for their departments or services.
