BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 18. Azerbaijan registered 809 radio frequency users, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies told Trend.
The administration said that, following the current legislation, it registers only civilian radio communication devices.
Furthermore, the administration has shared plans for radio monitoring in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
"Since the liberation of our territories from occupation, periodic radio monitoring activities have been carried out to ensure control over broadcasting. In addition to this, the reception levels of TV and FM radio transmissions are studied, and appropriate measures are taken," the administration explained.
Back in September last year, as part of the reconstruction of the radio-television broadcasting network in the liberated territories, a radio-television station was launched in Lachin. As a result, eight TV channels (AzTV, Culture, Sport Azerbaijan, Public TV, Azad Azerbaijan, Khazar, CBC, and Real) were broadcast, as well as Azerbaijani radio, in the villages of Shusha and Gubadli districts nearby Lachin.
The State Administration of Radio Frequencies engages in the provision of protection and effective usage of the radio frequency spectrum allocated to Azerbaijan, the allocation of radio frequencies and radio frequency channels to legal and physical persons, the provision of electromagnetic compatibility of radio electronic facilities and high-frequency devices, carrying out radio monitoring work, as well as studying and applying advanced technologies, new technical means, and best practices.
