Investments in transport, warehousing increases in Kazakhstan

ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 8. The share of investment in transport and warehousing in Kazakhstan increased from 7.3 percent to 11.9 percent from January through July, Trend reports.

Data from the Kazakhstan Institute of Economic Research shows that investments in transport and warehousing for 7 months amounted to 966.6 billion tenge ($2.08 billion).

In addition, it is noted that the main source of financing the country’s economy remains the own funds of business entities.

The volume of investment financing from the own funds of business entities amounted to 6.1 trillion tenge from January through July 2023. However, over the analyzed period, the share decreased overall to 76 percent.

Also, there is a growth rate in investment in three regions of Kazakhstan. In the Abay region, there was an increase of 54.3 percent; in the Mangistau region, 45.9 percent; and in the West Kazakhstan region, 31.9 percent.

The growth of Kazakhstan's economy from January through July this year amounted to 4.8 percent. GDP per capita in the specified period increased to $13,300. This year's foreign trade turnover has increased to $140 billion, and the country's international reserves amount to almost $95 billion.
