BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 2. The Guarantee Fund of Kyrgyzstan has provided entrepreneurs with 598 guarantees totaling over 385.6 million soms ($4.312 million) from the beginning of 2024 until April 1, Trend reports.
According to the fund, the volume of loans given with guarantee
backing exceeded 1.97 billion soms ($22.033 million) over the
specified time.
During its entire operational history, the Guarantee Fund has
provided 8,764 guarantees worth more than 8.5 billion soms ($95.070
million), with loans issued by partner banks exceeding 27 billion
soms ($301.988 million).
Agriculture, agro-processing, tourism, export-oriented, and
import-substituting output are the fund's priority areas of
activity. Trade, building, transportation, and other services are
all supported areas.
Established by the Kyrgyzstan government in 2016 with an initial capital of 72 million soms ($822,744) from the republican budget, the Guarantee Fund received an additional $3 million in capital through financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
