TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 22. Uzbekistan's enterprises manufactured industrial products worth 629.2 trillion soums ($49.1 billion) from January through September 2024.
The data obtained by Trend from the country’s Statistics Agency shows that this figure has increased by 36.8 percent year-on-year (459.9 trillion soums, or $35.8 billion in January–September 2023).
In the structure of production, the largest weight fell on the enterprises of the manufacturing industry, the output of which amounted to 532.8 trillion soums ($41.5 billion). The mining and quarrying industry ranked second with a production volume worth 49.7 trillion soums ($3.8 billion) during this period. Uzbekistan’s electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply production reached 43.3 trillion soums ($3.3 billion), while water supply, sewerage, waste collection, and utilization totaled 3.4 trillion soums ($265.3 million).
During this period, Uzbekistan's Tashkent city (20.1 percent), Navoi (16.2 percent), Tashkent (15.6 percent), Andijan (9.9 percent), Fergana (5.4 percent), and Samarkand (5.1 percent) regions accounted for the largest share in the total volume of industrial production in the country.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan manufactured industrial products worth 505.8 trillion soums ($39.7 billion) from January through August 2024. This indicator has increased by 26.6 percent year-on-year (400.6 trillion soums, or $2.4 billion in January–August 2023).
