TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, November 28. Uzbekistan has exported 103,500 tons of peaches worth $96.9 million from January through October 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Uzbek State Statistics Committee indicates that peach exports increased by 18.6 percent compared to the corresponding period last year (87,200 tons in January-October 2023).
In addition, Uzbekistan exported 500 tons of peaches in October 2024.
Overall, the country exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables, generating $1.2 billion in revenue from January through October this year. This represents a 14.2 percent increase compared to the same period last year when exports reached 1.4 million tons.
Fruit and vegetable exports are now a slice of the pie, accounting for 5.5 percent of Uzbekistan's total export value.
