TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 7. Chinese investors have expressed interest in mining and processing quartz and granite in the Khatyrchi district of Uzbekistan’s Navoi region, Trend reports.

The news follows a meeting headed by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on exploring additional opportunities for enhancing employment, attracting investments, and further developing the Navoi region.

Uzbekistan aims to establish new industrial enterprises on pasturelands near the chemical technopark in the Karmana district of Navoi. With existing infrastructure and raw materials, projects for the production of kaolin, quartz, silicon dioxide, and textile dyes are expected to launch as early as next year.

There is also potential for the development of 11 mineral deposits across the Kanimekh, Navbahor, and Uchkuduk districts.

Navoi is recognized as a region with significant potential in infrastructure, industry, and natural resources. Over the past seven years, the region has attracted $8 billion in investments and implemented 6,500 projects. This year alone, 577 projects worth $2.2 billion are nearing completion.
