TEHRAN, Iran, August 11. Iran is investing in construction of refineries to improve production and export revenues, said member of Iranian parliament's Energy Commission Hadi Beyginejad, Trend reports citing SHANA.
Construction of refineries would develop downstream industries, produce petrochemical products and enforce the country's foreign exchange resources, he said.
The gas and oil projects and especially construction of refineries have been profitable investments and generated good revenues, he said.
The MP has pointed out that building refineries would encourage the private sector to join and invest.
