BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The value of sales on the Iranian Energy Exchange (IRENEX) amounted to 104 trillion rials (about $188 million) in the last Iranian week (April 19-23).
Data obtained by Trend from IRENEX shows that the exchange sold about 170,000 tons of hydrocarbon products, valued at over 53.1 trillion rials (about $96 million).
In the localized segment of the marketplace, transactional volumes reached approximately 11.1 trillion rials (about $20.1 million) for a total of 36,200 tons of commodities. The global segment reported revenue figures approximating 42 trillion rials, translating to around $75.9 million in fiscal terms.
Furthermore, a substantial transaction amounting to 30.5 trillion rials (approximately $55 million) was executed, encompassing a staggering 2.56 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity sold within the specified timeframe. Additional transactions at the exchange totaled roughly 20.4 trillion rials (approximately $36.9 million).
The transaction of hydrocarbon commodities on Iran's Energy Exchange holds substantial significance. Through the transaction, the nation is endeavoring to supply hydrocarbon derivatives requisite for domestic enterprises while simultaneously amplifying export volumes.
