BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The total revenue of Iran's Mobarakeh Steel Company increased by 46 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), executive director of Iran Mobarake Steel Company Mohammad Yasir Tayyibnia said, Trend reports.
According to him, Mobarakeh Steel Company's total revenue last year was about 2.35 quadrillion rials (about $56 billion).
Tayibnia stated that this figure is considered a record in the
history of Mobarakeh Steel Company.
The official said 8.7 million tons of the company's products were
sold last year. Out of this, 7.3 million tons were sold in local
markets, while 1.4 million tons were exported to overseas
markets.
To note, the Iranian company Mobarakeh Steel Company was founded in 1981. This company is located in Isfahan Province in Iran. This company has a production capacity of 10.3 million tons per year, and by March 20, 2025, it is planned to increase the production capacity to 25 million tons.
Meanwhile, Iran's steel production potential is about 40 million tons per year. Iran plans to increase steel production capacity to 55 million tons by 2025.
