The volume of mobile phone and other wireless telephone import to Azerbaijan increased by 2.5 times in February compared to January, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Trend on April 14.
Some 6,181 devises to the amount of $499,000 were imported to the country in February. In value terms, the volume increased by more than 2.2 times, according to the State Statistics Committee.
The total number of mobile phones imported to Azerbaijan in January- February 2014 amounted to 8,680 units worth $723,500. The volume of imports declined by 49.74 percent and in value terms this figure reduced by 16.24 percent compared to the same period of last year.
