The prospective development of the Azerkimya (chemical industry enterprises) production association of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) will be carried out on schedule and without reduction of any projects, a source in the production association told Trend Nov.2.
The program of perspective development of Azerkimya on implementation of new projects consists of three stages, according to the source.
"In the first stage, which includes the period of 2015-2017, it is scheduled to carry out work on reconstruction of the node of propane-propylene fraction release, construction of propylene micro elements cleaning branch and the unit on production of hydrogen with a high concentration, as well as the introduction of a new DCS automation system," the source said.
The source said that the second stage includes the period of 2016-2018.
"In the second stage, it is planned to construct ethylene micro elements cleaning branch, new pyrolysis furnaces and the unit of complete hydrogenation, reconstruct the columns of butane-butylene gas separation block, compressors and reactor block for selective hydrogenation of ethylene and propylene fraction," said the source.
"Already in the third stage, we will complete the introduction of the new automation system, as well as construct a new nitrogen unit and the purification unit of process and waste water, upgrade the steam generating complex and the existing infrastructure."
The source also said that at present, the preliminary designing of all the work is underway.
"The production association will begin to place orders for the necessary equipment starting from early 2016," the source said.
Azerkimya production association is a part of SOCAR. The structure of the production association comprises of Ethylene-Polyethylene plant, as well as plants for surfactans, Organic synthesis, mechanical repairs; Kimyaelmitedgigatlayihe Institute; repair and construction management; management of transport and special equipment; warehousing.
