The average monthly salary of hired employees in Baku increased by 1.5 percent in 2021 compared to 2020 and amounted to 938.4 manat ($552), the Baku City Statistics Department told Trend.
This figure reached 924.4 manat ($543) in 2020, which is by 8.1 percent more compared to 2019.
The number of concluded employment contracts in Azerbaijan increased from 1.2 million to 1.7 million for 11 months of 2021. The income per capita increased from 4,710 manat ($2,770) to 5,707 manat ($3,357) during the reporting period.
Moreover, the minimum salary increased from 105 manat ($61) in Azerbaijan in 2019 to 300 manat ($176) in 2022.
