Azerbaijan emerges as leading importer of Iranian motorcycles and parts

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. Iran's exports of motorcycles and spare parts increased 12.5 percent in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Iran's Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance and Director General of Customs Administration Mohammad Rezvanifar said, Trend reports.

According to him, Iran exported motorcycles and spare parts worth $8.6 million last year. The motorcycles and spare parts were mainly exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Azerbaijan.

Rezvanifar noted that Iran exported about $133 million worth of automobiles and spare parts last year. This also shows an increase of 25.2 percent compared to the previous year.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's non-oil exports last year amounted to more than 136 million tons worth $49.3 billion. Exports of Iranian non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms compared to the previous year and increased by 9.82 percent in weight terms.
