BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. Salary workers in Azerbaijan earned an average of 1,002 manat ($589) per month in nominal wages from January to June of 2024, a rise of 8.8 percent over the first half of the previous year, Trend reports.
Data from the nation's State Statistics Committee shows that wages in the oil and gas sector amounted to 3,845 manat ($2,261), and in the non-oil and gas sector, 949.5 manat ($558).
Salaries of employees of public enterprises amounted to 954.7 manat ($561.59), and for private enterprises, 1,054 manat ($620).
The committee's data also indicate that the highest wages were recorded for workers in mining, insurance and finance, information, and communications, as well as in the field of scientific and technical activities.
