Türkiye crunching numbers on furniture exports heading to Uzbekistan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Türkiye's furniture exports to Uzbekistan decreased by 27 percent year-on-year to $47.5 million from January through September 2024, the statement of Türkiye's Trade Ministry said, Trend reports.

“In September this year, Türkiye's furniture exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $5.3 million, reflecting a 38.5 percent decline compared to September last year,” the statement of the ministry says.

Meanwhile, from January to September 2024, Türkiye's furniture exports took a bit of a hit, slipping by 1.9 percent compared to the previous year, landing at a total of $5.8 billion.

“Türkiye exported furniture worth $661.8 million in September this year, which is 2.6 percent less than last year's September,” the statement of the ministry noted.

To note, Türkiye exported furniture worth 7.8 billion in the last 12 months (from September 2023 through September 2024).
