ASTANA, Kazakhstan, November 26. Key initiatives by KTZ Express aimed at developing the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) were presented in Istanbul, Türkiye, Trend reports.
At the roundtable "Trans-Caspian Connectivity: Experience, Changes and Results," Aibek Qapar, Deputy General Director for Logistics at KTZ Express (a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways), presented the company’s key initiatives focused on the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR).
Members of the TITR working group, including representatives from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, and other countries, attended the event in Istanbul. The speaker emphasized the strategic importance of TITR as a key transport artery connecting China, Central Asia, and Europe.
To develop TITR, the group of companies of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy KTZ (Kazakhstan Railways) continues to actively expand terminal infrastructure along the route. In addition to the Kazakhstan-China terminal in the city of Xi'an, construction of a container hub at the port of Aktau and a logistics terminal in Almaty has begun. Plans also include the construction of new terminals in the port of Alyat, Budapest, and other key locations, which will significantly strengthen the route's position on an international level.
KTZ Express is a multimodal transport and logistics company, a subsidiary of "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" (Kazakhstan Railways). It provides integrated services for railway, sea, and road freight transportation, including LCL (Less than Container Load), shuttle trains, and logistics outsourcing.
