BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 7. Azerbaijan executed the procurement of 1.1 million tons of wheat, aggregating a financial outlay of $241.1 million, during the period spanning January to November 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan shows that this represents a decrease of $42.3 million, or 14.9 percent in value, and a reduction of 22,300 tons, or 2 percent in volume, compared to the same period in 2023.
The proportion of wheat imports within the overall import matrix for the nation constituted 1.28 percent of Azerbaijan's aggregate import volume during the period spanning January to November 2024.
