BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. Actual prices of Azerbaijan's agricultural production grew by 1.5 percent in 2024 compared to 2023, reaching 12.99 billion manat ($7.6 billion).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee show that last year, production value in the field of animal husbandry rose by 1.7 percent (up to 6.8 billion manat, or $4.2 billion) in value terms, and in the field of crop production—by 1.1 percent (up to 6.16 billion manat, or $3.6 billion).
Meanwhile, 3.27 million tons of cereals and legumes were harvested in Azerbaijan from 1.01 million ha, with the average yield of 31 centners per ha.
A total of 927,400 tons of potatoes (8.22 percent reduction over the year), 1.83 million tons of other vegetables (0.73 percent growth), 490,600 tons of melons (11.96 percent growth), 1.3 million tons of fruits and berries (4.49 percent growth), 205,100 tons of grapes (8.64 percent reduction), and 1,069 tons of green tea (4.83 percent reduction) were harvested as of the first of January 2025.

Azerbaijan produced 659,000 tons of meat, 2.29 million tons of milk, and 2.3 billion chicken eggs in 2024. The production of meat increased by 1.7 percent, milk by 0.6 percent, and chicken eggs by 5.1 percent compared to 2023.

To note, the volume of agricultural production in Azerbaijan in 2023 in actual prices amounted to 12.2 billion manat ($7.1 billion), which is three percent higher than in 2022. Production in the field of animal husbandry in value terms increased by 3.2 percent (to 6.2 billion manat, or $3.6 billion), and in the field of crop production, by 2.7 percent (to 5.9 billion manat, or $3.4 billion).
