BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. Azerbaijan hit the ground running with export operations, rolling out 3,444 types of goods and raking in a whopping $26.55 billion in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that the majority of export operations (51.57 percent) accounted for the private sector.
Private sector exports decreased by $5.07 billion (27 percent) compared to 2023 ($18.76 billion), totaling $13.69 billion.
During last year, $12.69 billion (47.8 percent) of the export operations were carried out by the public sector. Exports in this sector decreased by $2.18 billion (14.7 percent) compared to 2023 ($14.88 billion).
In the past year, physical persons accounted for 0.63 percent of the total export operations, with an export volume of $166.28 million. The volume of exports by physical persons decreased by $93.59 million (36 percent) compared to the previous year. In the prior year, physical persons' export operations amounted to $259.87 million.
