BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 5. The production volume in Azerbaijan's mining industry totaled 41.2 billion manat ($24.2 billion) last year.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's State Statistics Committee shows that the volume of production in the mining industry equaled 3.7 billion manat ($2.1 billion), or 8.3 percent less than a year earlier. Thus, in 2023, the production volume of the mining industry in Azerbaijan reached 44.9 billion manat ($26.4 billion).
In addition, last year, production volume in the field of crude oil and natural gas production stood at 38 billion manat ($22.3 billion), which is 3.9 billion manat ($2.2 billion) or 9.5 percent less than a year ago. The production volume in the field of crude oil and natural gas production amounted to 41.9 billion manat ($24.6 billion) in 2023.
Furthermore, during the reporting period, production volume in the field of metal ore mining in the country accounted for 382 million manat ($224.7 million), production volume in other branches of the mining industry - 256 million manat ($150.5 million), and production volume of services in the mining industry - 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion).
