ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 6. Kazakhstan and ICAO have agreed to develop a Master Plan for aviation until 2050 during a meeting between the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan and the Regional Director of the European and North Atlantic Bureau of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Nicolas Rallo, Trend reports.

In the course of the the meeting, the parties discussed key issues in the development of the industry, specifically the implementation of joint measures outlined in the National Plan for reducing CO2 emissions and the gradual transition to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), as well as the development of a Master Plan for the general planning and development of the civil aviation industry until 2050.

The head of the EUR/NAT Bureau of ICAO also expressed gratitude for Kazakhstan's efforts in ensuring flight safety and progress in implementing international standards. He also confirmed ICAO's readiness to provide further support within the framework of joint initiatives and programs.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the UN that sets international civil aviation standards and coordinates its development to improve safety and efficiency. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is an independent organization and should not be confused with ICAO.
