BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 7. Azerbaijan's total
volume of preferential loans granted to female entrepreneurs has
reached 66.6 million manat ($39.1 million) over the past five
years.
Data obtained by Trend from the Entrepreneurship Development Fund
indicates that a total of 1,219 female entrepreneurs have benefited
from these preferential loans.
These loans are set to pave the way for the creation of 1,338
new jobs.
Additionally, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund provided
248.1 million manat ($145.9 million) in preferential loans to 5,722
entrepreneurial projects over the past year. During this period,
472 female entrepreneurs received loans totaling 18.7 million manat
($10.9 million) for their projects.
Moreover, a cohort of 170 emerging entrepreneurs secured a
cumulative allocation of 7 million manat (equivalent to $4.1
million) in subsidized financing for the innovative ventures they
proposed.
