BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14.​ Azerbaijan exported around 875.8 million cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye in January 2025.

Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the revenue from this volume of natural gas exports amounted to $253.3 million.

Meanwhile, the country's gas exports to Türkiye compared to the same period last year increased by 37.5 million cubic meters, or 4.5 percent, in volume. However, the revenue decreased by $1.3 million, or 0.5 percent, in value.

Moreover, Azerbaijan had exported 838.3 million cubic meters of natural gas to Türkiye, worth $254.6 million in January 2024.

To note, the total volume of natural gas exported from Azerbaijan in January amounted to 2.33 billion cubic meters, with a value of $870.1 million. Additionally, Azerbaijan imported 42.6 million cubic meters of natural gas, totaling $6.4 million in value during the first month of the year.

During this period, Azerbaijan exported natural gas to countries such as Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece, while importing gas from Turkmenistan.
