BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. The average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Baku city amounted to 1,332 manat ($780) in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Baku City Statistical Department show that this figure grew by 9.2 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, the average monthly nominal salary of hired workers in Azerbaijan during the reporting month increased by 12.8 percent compared to the same month last year and amounted to 1,063 manat ($630).
The average salary in the oil and gas sector was 3,830.2 manat ($2,250), while in the non-oil and gas sector it was 1,010.8 manat ($595).
Employees in state enterprises earned an average salary of 1,017 manat ($600), while in private enterprises, the salary was 1,110 manat ($650).
