BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The liquidity index of Azerbaijan's sovereign currency, the manat, attained a benchmark of 3.36 points as of the first of April, 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
indicates that this signifies a rise of 0.13 points, equating to 4
percent, from March 1, 2025, alongside a marginal reduction of 0.02
points, or 0.6 percent, relative to the corresponding timeframe of
the previous year.
Furthermore, the circulation metric of the manat registered at 3.23
points, juxtaposed against a prior benchmark of 3.38 points as of
April 1, 2024.
The CBA metrics indicate that the nadir of circulation velocity for
the manat over the preceding 17-year span was documented in January
2015, achieving a benchmark of 2.68 points. The apex documented
circulation velocity was observed in 2005, clocking in at 15.72
points.
