BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 12. The State Service for Property Issues in Azerbaijan conducted a total of 14 auctions from January through April 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the state service indicates that this has resulted in the privatization of shares in four joint-stock companies, one small state enterprise, and 324 vehicles.
During the first four months of the year, 123 electronic applications were submitted for state property offered at auctions, and 18 participants joined the auctions online via the 'Electronic Auction' software.
The state service noted that income from privatization reached 51.6 million manat ($30.3 million) during the reporting period, marking a 47.8 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Additionally, the state service signed 1,444 new lease agreements, including 190 for non-residential properties and 1,254 for land plots. As a result, lease payments contributed 14.8 million manats to the state budget, reflecting a 19 percent year-on-year increase.
Overall, state revenues from both privatization and lease agreements totaled 66.4 million manat ($39 million) from January through April 2025, which is 40.2 percent more than in the same timeframe last year.
