BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. Azerbaijan exported 708.2 million cubic meters of natural gas to Georgia from January through March of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that the revenue from this volume of natural gas exports amounted to $93.1 million.
The gas exports to Georgia increased by 287.2 million cubic meters or 68.2 percent in volume terms, and by $22 million or 30.9 percent in value terms compared to the same period last year (421 million cubic meters worth $71.1 million).
In total, Azerbaijan exported 5.9 billion cubic meters of natural gas worth $82.2 million in the first quarter of this year. Additionally, 145.6 million cubic meters of natural gas worth $22.4 million were imported to Azerbaijan in January 2025.
Over this period, Azerbaijan exported natural gas to Georgia, Serbia, Türkiye, Bulgaria, Italy, and Greece, while imports came from Russia and Turkmenistan.
