BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. The volume of cargo turnover on the Azerbaijani part of the East-West transport corridor amounted to 1.58 billion ton-km in the first quarter of this year.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that
this metric experienced an augmentation of 72 million ton-km,
reflecting a 4.8 percent increase relative to the corresponding
timeframe of the previous year (1.51 billion ton-km).
During the specified reporting interval, the transport corridor
exhibited a cargo turnover of one billion ton-km, predominantly
attributed to transit freight operations.
