BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. Individuals in Azerbaijan sent $18.7 million to the US in the first quarter of 2025.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
indicates that this reflects an increase of $4.78 million or 34.2
percent, compared to the same period in 2024. This metric
represented 16.7 percent of the aggregate outbound personal
remittances for the quarter in question.
Concurrently, entities within the United States remitted $23.2
million to Azerbaijan, reflecting an escalation of $8.85 million,
equating to a 61.4 percent increase on a year-over-year basis.
During this timeframe, the United States constituted 10.1 percent
of the aggregate inbound remittance flows to Azerbaijan.
In a comparative analysis, remittances originating from Azerbaijan
to the United States aggregated to $13.9 million during Q1 of 2024,
whereas the inflow of funds from the United States to Azerbaijan
was recorded at $14.4 million.
In aggregate, the total personal remittances dispatched from
Azerbaijan to international jurisdictions reached $112.6 million
during Q1 of 2025, indicating a contraction of $18.8 million or
14.3 percent relative to the corresponding quarter in 2024.
Conversely, the influx of inbound remittances from international
jurisdictions to Azerbaijan amounted to $229.4 million, reflecting
a contraction of $64.9 million or 22.1 percent.
