ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 6. Turkmenistan is strengthening the technical capacity of its state-owned Turkmengaz Concern with new geophysical equipment to enhance hydrocarbon exploration, Trend reports, citing the press service of Turkmengaz.
At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on July 4, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov briefed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on ongoing efforts to modernize the activities of Turkmengaz. The focus is on introducing innovative technologies in the study and development of the country’s hydrocarbon resources.
To improve the accuracy of well data analysis, Amanov proposed the acquisition of modern geophysical equipment. The proposal was approved by the head of state, who emphasized the importance of effective geological work and instructed the relevant authorities to proceed with the necessary measures.
The initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector through technological upgrades and increased efficiency in exploration activities.
