BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. The Auction Organization Center of the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy and the State Agency for the Use of Mineral Raw Materials under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan held another auction for the commissioning of mineral deposits.
The data obtained by Trend from the service shows that the "Katekhchay" sand-gravel deposit (1.15 ha) located in the Balakan district, the "Mukhas-Dashagilchay" sand-gravel deposit (16 ha) and the "Nij" clay deposit (3.5 ha) located in the Oghuz district were commissioned at the auction.
Azerbaijan has over 300 mineral deposits across the country. These include a variety of minerals such as oil and gas, iron ore, copper, gold, silver, molybdenum, and various other industrial minerals. The country’s rich geological diversity supports its mining and energy sectors.
