Kazakhstan State Grain Company Food Corporation exported 7880 tons of grain to China from the beginning of the year, Managing Director of JSC NC Food Corporation Marat Seisenov said at a joint meeting of JSC NC Food Corporation JSC and KazakstanTemirTrans on Wednesday.
"Our (Food Corporation) supplies to China amounted to 7880 tons of grain. It is a small volume," Seisenov said.
He noted that the low supply of Kazakh grain to neighboring China is caused by severe pest control services of China. At the same time, the Chinese market is very profitable for Kazakh grain producers, as its capacity is about 20 million tons of grain a year.
In addition, Kazakhstan has plans to transport grain by transit through China to South-East Asia.
